Hello everybody,

I am Vicky and I decided to create this blog after watching Mary’s Bottom Line on channel 4 as I found this program very inspiring.  As I grew up in one of the Northamptonshire villages where Dr Martens and lots of other shoes used to be made, I am very passionate about bringing manufacturing back to Britain.

I have a small online business called Vicky’s Vintage Gifts where I sell handmade items and also vintage finds.  On this website, I will soon be selling more gifts designed and made by various talented people in Britain.  This will be a small start to supporting all things made in Britain so I thought I should start a blog as well to add links and any information I can find about other businesses that sell British made products.

As I am new to blogging, it may take me a while to get the hang of it but once I have, I am hoping that I will help to make a difference.
